WHO'S BEHIND NBC's 'BOOK OF DANIEL?'

"The Book of Daniel," now airing Friday nights on NBC, is
an unprecedented assault on the time-honored ideal of the Christian
Star Aidan Quinn: "I'm an Episcopalian priest who struggles
with a little self-medication problem and I have a 23-year old son
who's gay and a 16-year-old daughter who's caught dealing pot and another
son who's jumping on every high school girl he sees, and a wife who's
very loving but also likes her martinis." 1
"Daniel's" dysfunctional and degenerate family, led by
a weak-willed father, is permeated with suspicion and backbiting. The
second episode ends with hearty laughter during family dinner when
Webster's older son and secretary both boldly admitted their homosexuality.
This is NBC's portrait of a "Christian" family.
Why is NBC/Universal Attacking the Christian Family?
Who's behind such negative stereotyping of millions of Christian
families? "Daniel" is aired by NBC and produced by Universal
Studios. Let's briefly review the history of these media giants.
In its article on motion pictures, the prestigious Encyclopedia Judaica
says: "All the large Hollywood companies, with the exception of
United Artists, were founded and controlled by Jews." The Judaica
is also quick to credit Jews with the development of radio and television.
The Judaica says David Sarnoff started the first U.S. radio chain
in 1926 as a service of RCA. Sarnoff also pioneered the development
of color TV and built NBC into one of the big three TV networks. 3
In 1928, CBS Radio was founded by another Jew, William S. Paley, who
built CBS into a multi-billion-dollar TV empire. 4 The third major
TV network, ABC, was an outgrowth of an anti-trust suit against NBC
in the early 1940s. Leonard Goldenson became president as ABC soared
to national prestige. 5
Jewish Mastermind within NBC
Who owns and runs NBC today? Sarnoff's company was bought by General
Electric in 1986. Its top administrators are mostly non-Jewish G.E.
But the real mastermind behind NBC's TV programming is Jeff Zucker.
Chief executive officer of the NBC Universal Television Group, "Zucker
is responsible for all programming across the company's extensive television
properties, including network, news, cable, and sports and Olympics.
His responsibilities also include the company's studio operations and
global distribution efforts." 6 As president of NBC Entertainment
since 2000, Zucker oversees the network's entire entertainment schedule.
A five-time Emmy Award winner, Zucker is famed for his creation of "edgy" and
immoral TV fare including Las Vegas and Law
and Order: Criminal Intent.
The powerhouse behind NBC Universal's "The Book of Daniel" has
got to be Jeff Zucker, a Jew.
Powerful Jews at NBC Universal also include David Zaslav, president,
NBCU Cable; Jeffrey Gaspin, president, NBCU Cable Entertainment; Neal
Shapiro, president, NBC News; and Marc Saperstein, senior executive
vice president, human resources and communications. "The Book
of Daniel" is defended by vice president of current programming
Vivi Zigler. (The famous Lichter/Rothman poll of top media executives
found that 59 percent were "raised in the Jewish religion.")
Jewish Control of Universal
Unlike NBC, whose ownership passed out of direct control of Jews,
Universal Studios is presently owned by Edgar Bronfman Jr., heir of
the Seagrams liquor empire. Bronfman is vice president of the European
media colossus Vivendi and owns a controlling interest in legendary
Jewish media giant MCA. Both are now incorporated into Universal. A
generation ago, MCA thrust upon Christian America the incredibly blasphemous
The Last Temptation of Christ. Universal Studios is presided over by
Ron Meyer, a Jew.
While the creator of "The Book of Daniel" is an Irish-Cuban
ex-Catholic homosexual named Jack Kenny, the comedy is produced by
Universal, one of the great Jewish film production companies. A high
percentage of Jewish names occur in the credits of "The Book of
Daniel." This list includes writers Dava Savel,
Tracy Stern, Dan E. Fesman, Harry Victor, and Blair Singer, as well
as directors Mel Damski and Adam Bernstein. 7 The full list
of Jews is probably greater since many in the media have adopted Gentile
How Should Christian America Respond?
Donald Wildmons' American Family Association has already prompted
more than half a million complaints to NBC/Universal. Boycotts of sponsors
are underway. In fact, many sponsors have already jumped ship, fearful
of boycott from the religious right.
Yet such protest, massive as it may be, is largely ineffective in
the long term. Why? Because it doesn't specify, in a way that really
matters, the identity of those who corrupt America. While such protest
may cause some financial discomfort to the Jewish networks, it does
not incapacitate them from launching ever-new assaults on Christian
There is a much better way to deal with this perennial problem.
Another Way to Fight Back
In the late 1980s, Jewish MCA horrified Christian America with their
blasphemous film The Last Temptation of Christ. In a very well publicized
national statement, Dr. Jerry Falwell warned MCA that if they did not
cancel promotion, their movie would cause a backlash of anti-Semitism.
This was Falwell's way of letting America know that MCA was Jewish.
Seizing the advantage, I produced a powerful brochure titled "The
Real Reason Behind the Film, The Last Temptation
of Christ." It
revealed MCA's Jewish ownership and production. Our National Prayer
Network mailed it to 192,000 evangelical pastors in America. I received
only five negative letters and sold many hundreds of copies of my book
Israel: Our Duty, Our Dilemma and video The Other
Israel to curious,
alarmed, and very appreciative Christian leaders.
About 12 years later, a national Jewish spokesman lamented that The
Last Temptation of Christ was the greatest disaster in Jewish-Christian
relations of the last century.
Why did Last Temptation backfire so violently against the Jews of
Hollywood, forcing them to cancel plans for even worse anti-Christ
films? Not primarily because of protest letters or boycotts. Such public
protests to the Jewish media are important, yet what media moguls really
fear is that the Jewish source of Hollywood's anti-Christian agenda
will become known. They fear such exposure will stimulate investigation
of the Jewish religion, uncovering the intense hatred of Gentiles and
Christians found in the Talmud and the Zohar.
MCA was forced to cancel their plans for even more anti-Christ films
primarily because Jerry Falwell and National Prayer Network had the
courage to say the forbidden "J" word. At last Christian
leaders knew who was so intently trashing our sacred Christian symbols
and values. Also, the Jewish community, embarrassed and fearful of
anti-Semitism and scrutiny of the Jewish religion, doubtless pressured
their media brethren to be less aggressive against Christianity. As
a result, a production as blasphemous as Last Temptation has not been
repeated by Hollywood.
Will evangelical leaders respond to this outrage as Christ did to
the Pharisees -- by speaking the whole truth? Or will they respond
like the false prophets, hiding truth out of "fear of the Jews?" 8
Regardless, the average citizen has never had more power to influence
large numbers of people. Through postings on the Internet, messages
sent by fax or email, and as callers to talk shows, each of us can
hurt the Jewish media moguls powerfully by publicly identifying them
This can begin a pincer movement as Hollywood is pressured by angry
patriots on the right and by embarrassed Jews on the left.
This was the dynamic that ended further production of films like
We can do it again.
