ENDA IS DYING
By Rev. Ted Pike

The Hill reports that Democrat leaders, worried about voter
backlash in November, will not introduce the Employment Non-Discrimination
Act during these final weeks before summer recess of Congress. (“The
Hill: ENDA Won't Make Senate Floor” www.advocate.com,
July 15) This is almost certainly the obituary for one of the most
frightening, pro-homosexual, anti-Christian bills ever submitted to
Congress.
In the past month, homosexual media have repeatedly blamed lack of
Senate Democrat support for ENDA's failure. I am proud of the perhaps
thousands of lovers of freedom who came to www.truthtellers.org for
the names of 14 undecided Senators, bombarding them with calls in May.
At that time staffers for these mostly Democrat Senators reported "heavy
protest," protest that powerfully hit its mark. To my knowledge,
none of these Senators, snagged over ENDA's "transgender provision" allowing "transitioning" males
into women's restrooms, ever capitulated.
What activists on the political/religious right have shown is that,
contrary to the gloom following passage of the healthcare bill this
spring, the legislative and electoral process is working!
Directly or indirectly, no one can deny that the Democrats at last
are getting the message from grassroots America loud and clear.
In fact, many Hill Democrats are angry at Obama for requiring them
to pass perverse, financially irresponsible legislation, with no concern
from the President that such might end their careers in November.
This is a uniquely favorable time to take even more decisive action
to save freedom. Fearing judgment day at midterms, Democrat leaders
are undecided whether to push forward "don't ask, don't tell" repeal,
legitimizing open homosexuality in the military. Don't let them do
it!
Call your House and Senate representatives immediately.
Call toll free at 1-877-851-6437. (If you don't know their names, the capitol
operator will take your zip code and route you to their offices.) Tell
their staffers: "Please tell the Senator/House member not to support
a repeal of ‘don't ask, don't tell.’ Open homosexuality
in the military weakens morale and combat efficiency. If the member
of Congress votes to endorse homosexuality in the military, I and my
friends will do our best to vote out Democrats in November."
It could literally be hours before the Democrats make a decision
about DADT repeal. Call NOW! If we can kill two major pro-homosexual
bills (not to mention sending a raft of Democrats back home in November),
it will be a very good year's work, an excellent start toward rebuilding
a new America.
