THOUSANDS OF GAYS DEMAND OBAMA SIGN HATE BILL
By Rev. Ted Pike

On
Sunday, tens of thousands of gay rights supporters marched from
the White House to the Capitol "demanding
that President Obama keep his promises…to end discrimination
against gays." Their underlying demand is that he sign the
federal hate crimes bill into law.
Last Thursday, the House of Representatives passed the defense authorization
bill, with the hate bill attached. Today's surge of homosexual activism
in the Capitol was an immediate result. This outpouring was also the result of
widespread (primarily favorable) publicity concerning the bill by the Jewish
Anti-Defamation League and pro-homosexual media. This publicity
had been conspicuously denied since the bill was introduced into Congress in
January; ADL's previous strategy was to pass it behind the scenes in Congress
without public debate.
Congressional passage is now a virtual certainty; but to forestall any possibility
Obama might fulfill his threat to veto the defense/hate bill package, it is strongly
to ADL's advantage to publicize and promote the hate bill. Pro-hate bill
media and activist groups speak as if its passage were already a fact. They portray
the hate bill as one of the great civil rights milestones of American history. They
flatter Obama that he might become a hero for gay civil rights as was Martin
Luther King for black civil rights.
Yet Obama has repeatedly threatened veto of the defense bill if Congress adds
what he considers $100 billion of unnecessary, wasteful spending on extra F-35
warplane engines. But the House of Representatives defied him last week by adding
the engines to the defense bill. Through national publicity and public display
on the mall, the President is now warned that his homosexual and liberal supporters
will be bitterly disappointed and angry if he allows hate bill victory to again
slip through their fingers.
Their insistence contrasts sharply with the lack of pressure by leadership groups
of the mainstream Christian/conservative right that Obama keep his
promise and veto the bill. Lacking imagination of how Christian America could
marshal forces to compel Obama, they agree with liberals that hate bill passage
is virtually accomplished.
But the National Prayer Network is generating
widespread and mounting demand for Obama's promised veto. Having trumpeted this
message on nine national radio interviews since Thursday, I am booked to encourage
millions more in broadcasts this week. Through high-profile websites such as
Rense.com, Truthtellers.org, and chain and email lists reaching millions, we are flooding
the White House with emails encouraging Obama to keep his word.
Get on board! Add your emails to the tidal wave, counterbalancing the tens of
thousands of homosexuals who gathered in Washington, D.C. today. Let Obama know
that many more Americans oppose the hate bill
than support it!
Email these two messages to the President immediately:
- Mr.
President, I will vote out Democrats at midterms if you sign
the freedom-destroying federal hate crimes bill.
- Mr.
President, I expect you to keep your promise to veto any military
authorization bill that wastes $100 billion of taxpayers' money
on unnecessary F-35 jet engines.
Send
these two messages in separate emails. You may cut and paste
them in at www.whitehouse.gov/contact.
Let the Anti-Defamation League teach you how they have saddled 45 states
with hate laws capable of persecuting Christians, and spearhead attempts to pass
the federal hate crimes bill: http://www.adl.org/99hatecrime/intro.asp.
