Since its founding in 1980, the National Prayer Network has emphasized the biblical truth that, at Christ’s Second Coming, a remnant of Jews will repent and turn to their rejected Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Yet Satan would frustrate this greatest triumph of Christ’s love and grace. How? By destroying the Jewish people through coming upheavals of virulent anti-semitism.

I realized early, as director of the National Prayer Network, that in my own way, like Corrie ten Boom, I had a duty (as I believe every Christian does) to safeguard God’s great love-affair and quarrel with the Jewish people.

Yet I saw a tremendous obstacle to their safety. In every age, it was very clear that false Jewish leadership, by its arrogance, racism, and anti-Christianity, actually poured fuel on smoldering fires of resentment among the Gentiles. Beginning in pre-Christian times, the Pharisees incited unheard-of racism in the Jewish people causing them to behave in many ways that opposed their self-interest. Such behavior antagonized the surrounding Gentiles. Largely as a result of following such "blind guides" and their Talmud, Jewish history is a litany of persecution, pogroms, expulsions and sorrows.

Following Christ’s example of warning against evil Jewish leadership, I published, in 1984, my 345-page book, "Israel: Our Duty…Our Dilemma." This was followed in 1987 by its video equivalent, "The Other Israel." Both of these works were very widely received by Christians. In fact, the National Prayer Network offered a free copy of my book to 180,000 evangelical pastors in America. Eighteen thousand responded to the offer and were sent a copy.

Yet I soon discovered that evil Jewish leaders did not take kindly to having their supremacy challenged. The ultra-liberal Jewish "civil liberties" organization, "People for the American Way," founded by Jewish TV producer Norman Lear, responded against me by their own mass mailing to clergy in America. They tried to portray my criticism of Jewish leadership as "anti-semitism." They tried to whip up a national movement of Christians to repudiate me.

Their problem was that they had nothing to work with. Their four-page attack on me was full of excellent quotations from my works, but not a single one that could be remotely considered "anti-semitic." I never received a single expression of disapproval from an estimated minimum of 2-300,000 churchmen they contacted.

Instead, I took PAW’s brochure and made one of my own out of it, entitled "The Video Norman Lear Doesn’t Want You to See." It became the hottest advertising tool I ever had. Conservatively, over the past 15 years, more than ten thousand of my books and videos have been sold because of it.

Yes, false Jewish leadership, jealously guarding its right to deceive and lead astray the Jewish people, will come against those, like Jeremiah, Christ, and St. Paul, whose only motive is to deliver God’s chosen people. However, God’s promise to protect those who protect his plan of the ages remains: "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper." (Isa. 54:17) Norman Lear tried to create a weapon to destroy my testimony. I seized it and used it against him.

It is time for a host of Christian leaders, broadcasters, and educators to join me in restraining those who enflame the world against the Jewish people.

Today, the enemies of the Jews are not just the Hamans and Hitlers without. Instead, just as in Christ’s day, Judaism’s worst enemies are within.
