A co-chairman of the board of directors of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, Edward Tyler Nahem, is featuring a month-long exhibit of Andres Serrano’s “Piss Christ” photograph in his leading Manhattan gallery “Piss Christ” set off a firestorm of controversy in the 1980s. It portrays a crucifix floating in the artist’s urine.

A friend of the National Prayer Network called the seminary to complain. It replied that what Nahem did on his own time was his business.

The Jewish Theological Seminary represents Conservative Judaism in America. Historically, Conservative Judaism has upheld the divine inspiration of the Babylonian Talmud and the Zohar, or Kabbalah, as the ultimate religious and ethical authority for Jews, far surpassing the Old Testament. The doctrinal interpretations of Conservative Judaism lie between the literalism of Orthodox Judaism and the liberalism of Reform. Fairly recently, Conservative Judaism has joined Reform in boldly endorsing homosexuality for Jews who are so inclined.

Despite outward expressions of ecumenical tolerance, Conservative Judaism has no genuine respect for Jesus Christ. In fact, by upholding the Talmud’s testimony that Jesus languishes in hell immersed in boiling semen (see appended photocopy of the Talmudic text), the seminary’s view of Jesus is remarkably similar to Serrano’s. Both degrade and humiliate Jesus by immersing him in body fluids.

Little wonder that the seminary doesn’t object to month-long promotion of a Jesus-desecrating, Talmud-friendly image of Christ in one of New York’s most prestigious galleries.

The seminary is the foremost rabbinic training school for conservative Jews in America. It was founded by Solomon Schechter, German-Jewish scholar and Hebraist who played the seminal role in making conservative Judaism the most popular form of Judaism for American Jews during most of the 20th century.

Schechter wrote an endorsement of Dr. Michael Higger’s 1932 book, The Jewish Utopia, along with the "Kallah," or council of Texas rabbis.* This work promotes the Talmudic-Kabbalist dream of world Jewish dominion. Higger taught that imposition of Hebrew monotheism on the entire world necessitates killing all Gentiles who do not submit to Judaic law. Here is only one of many quotes to this effect:

In general, the people of the world will be divided into two main groups, the Israelitic and the nonIsraelitic. The former will be righteous; they will live in accordance with the wishes of the one, universal God; they will be thirsty for knowledge, and willing, even to the point of martyrdom, to spread ethical truths to the world. And the other peoples, on the other hand, will be known for their detestable practices, idolatry, and similar acts of wickedness. They will be destroyed and will disappear from the earth before the ushering in of the ideal era. (p. 37)

By “idolatry,” the Talmud includes worship of the “false prophet” and “blasphemer,” Jesus, and belief in “many Gods” i.e. the Christian trinity.

Where is ADL?

Needless to say, the Anti-Defamation League, always aggressive to protest the slightest aspersion against Jewish control and manipulation, is silent concerning promotion of “Piss Christ” imagery by a prominent board member of the Jewish Theological Seminary. ADL is virtually never troubled by expressions of Jewish religious animus against Christianity’s founder.

Yet the obsession to denigrate Jesus by liberal Judaism and its media is too overt and pervasive to go unnoticed by thinking people. This hatred, which has smoldered for 2,000 years, like the fumaroles of a volcano far beneath the earth’s crust, continues to periodically erupt and spew defilement in the airwaves and cyberspace. Like the prevalent spitting on Christians and defacement of Christian churches in Israel (which the government of Israel does little to resist), the instinct of anti-Christian Jews is to revile Christ and His followers and do as much as possible to obstruct all for which He stood.

It is important that bold attacks on Jesus, such as this, and earlier, Jewish Disney/ABC’s Good Christian Bitches, be vocally resisted. (See Good Christian Bitches (GCB) Canceled!)

Christians should also not neglect to publicly make clear that such sacrilege is coming from Christ-hating Jews. If it is not, Schechter and Higger’s dream of a Jewish utopia which has liquidated all Christians and dissenters, will ultimately become a nightmare from which the world will not wake up.
